Horsemastership
Learn, Ride, Have Fun…
Even Win Scholarships!
The Horsemastership program tests the participants’ knowledge of proper horsemanship, horse anatomy, basic horse health, grooming and safety.

It is an educational program that offers the beginning horseman the opportunity to build a solid foundation of equine knowledge and skills, while challenging the more experienced horseman to build upon their knowledge to achieve excellence and distinction. Best of all, this is done in a supportive team environment as you will study and train with other riders in your Region. Any CSHA member in good standing may participate.

The competition involves three tests: written, riding and grooming. Each State Region with an active Horsemastership program will offer all three tests to determine their Region’s Champion and Reserve Champion who can go on to compete at the State Championship.

The REGION 4 Horsemastership program is currently seeking a meeting location and will post as soon as one is secured.
